The FSA supports a wide range of working patterns, and subject to business needs this can include home-based or working from one of our offices based in London, Cardiff, Belfast and York.
About the job
The Planning, Performance & Change (PPC) team plays a pivotal role in supporting and delivering significant changes across the Food Standards Agency (FSA), changes which seek to ensure consumers continue to have access to ‘safe food’ and ‘food we can trust’, through an excellent, modern and accountable regulator.
Within the PPC team we have a Programmes Management Office (PMO) which provides strategic, technical and professional support services to the programmes and projects delivering change within the FSA. It is important that those responsible for change can rely on the support of the PMO at all times, and a team that maintains an environment where all eventualities are covered, priorities are clear and understood.
The Food Standards Agency is a non-ministerial department of 1200 people, with a big vision – to drive change in the food system so that it delivers “food we can trust”. Our Project Management Office plays a significant role in supporting this vision.
In recognition of the value we place on supporting change within the FSA we are looking to recruitment two Support Services Officers to the PMO. Key areas of responsibility for the post holder includes supporting customers to deliver programmes and projects to agreed standards, developing standards to improve how we deliver change, and actively promoting the services of the PMO through positive communications and working relationships with stakeholders. In essence, this role is about providing excellent customer service to all programme and project manager and team members, by promoting best practice in portfolio, programme and project management.
