We have a number of exciting opportunities for a Software Developers & Senior Developers to join our expanding agile development teams.

Our Developers work with a wide range of technologies, software tools and systems across multiple business are with languages including C#, Java, Python, Angular and JavaScript.

We deploy our solutions to cloud-based architectures as well as to our own infrastructure and utilise technologies such as Azure, Terraform, AWS, Kubernetes, SQL. Everything we do is team based.

Quality is paramount. Collaboration is key and you and your team will be supported to do good work.
Most code is done in pairs or larger groups to ensure quality and spread knowledge. Everyone reviews code and everyone welcomes feedback.

Job description

The people
You’ll be joining a software development practice of around 50 developers. We’re proud that we’ve created this group by recruiting junior people who share a commitment to professional development and watched them grow with us. Right now, we have people pursuing certification in Azure, AWS, Kubernetes and Security; we have others on management training courses; we even have people on Masters Degree programmes. We have also welcomed people returning to their chosen career after a career break.

In this role you will
Work in an agile development team, designing and crafting software solutions, including unit testing and pair programming.
Use automated testing and deployment to build and support a continuous delivery environment, collaborate with others in the development community, identifying good practices we can adopt and sharing our experiences
Share knowledge of tools and techniques with the wider team, both developer and non-developers and continually develop your own skills as part of a programme of continuous professional development.

Technical skills

  • Good software development skills and knowledge of at least one of the following object-orientated languages: C#, Java, or Python
  • Awareness of designing scalable commercial solutions and future-proof data services, with embedded information security controls specifically engineered to mitigate risk.
  • Experience in the designing, building, testing, and maintaining software using a modern standards approach, or experience supporting operationally live systems in either modern or legacy technologies
  • Experience in designing and testing code / programs for the deployment of large data systems using CI/CD pipeline
  • A broad range of commercial experience using C#, Java or similar language, including building, and maintaining automated test frameworks.”


We are currently recruiting developers at the grade B3/EO, B2/HEO the salaries for these are listed below. However, for suitable qualified candidates a recruitment and retention allowance (RRA) maybe available.

We want to ensure that we can appoint Software Engineers as quickly as possible throughout this campaign. Therefore, although the campaign runs for four weeks in total, we will be looking at applications and interviewing on a weekly basis throughout this time. Dates listed below.
