This includes class A drugs, child exploitation, people smuggling and human trafficking, major gun crime, fraud, cyber crime, money laundering and the corruption that organised criminals use to facilitate these crimes.

The Personal Assistant (PA) to the Director General is an integral part of the DGs support team and NCA Private Office.
Working alongside the DGs Staff Officer and Assistant Staff Officer, the PA ensures that the Director General diary is effectively and efficiently managed, including any logistical requirements such as travel and hotels.
The PA will also ensure that any correspondence received by the DG is managed in an efficient, effective and timely manner to the highest standard and in compliance with corporate standards, either by drafting responses or ensuring draft responses are prepared by the relevant business area on behalf of the DG or otherwise actioned appropriately.
The PA also engages proactively across the wider Private Office and agency to ensure appropriate briefings are available in a timely manner for the DGs engagements.
Other responsibilities will include the management and maintenance of electronic and paper filing and bring forward systems and other general activities to ensure the DGs private office runs effectively and efficiently.
There will be an additional requirement to support the wider Command Team and Deputy Director Corporate Strategy, to effectively and efficiently manage commitments they may attend on behalf of the DG, engaging proactively with peers to identify and implement improvements, consider opportunity for best working practice and best use of time and minimal disruption.
The post-holder will be required to work flexibly and to provide cover for both the Staff Officer and Assistant Staff Officer when they are not in the office.
The role requires a capacity to deal with a varied workload and tight deadlines.
This may on occasion require additional hours and travel away from the office and presents an excellent opportunity play a key part in the development of the NCA and to gain experience of, and an insight into, key strategic law enforcement issues.
