Working with our IT provider partners, you will ensure that the services provided to NS&Is customers remain available and responsive to their needs within existing Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicator frameworks. You will provide assurance that providers are meeting the agreed metrics, and that any breaches are dealt with quickly and effectively. You will work with providers to ensure that adequate reporting mechanisms are in place to monitor the provision of their services, and you will contribute to internal reporting to senior management within NS&I. You will also operate a programme of continual service improvement with providers to ensure that service to our customers remains effective.
NS&I is currently undergoing a major transformation of its IT estate, to move from a single outsourced supplier to a multi-supplier IT model. You will be involved in the shaping of the new service management framework, helping to develop new SLAs, OLAs, KPIs and other measures to ensure the future state NS&I IT services run smoothly and effectively to support our customers. You will help shape the new reporting regime, identifying and implementing new and innovative ways of presenting data captured from across the supplier estate to inform senior stakeholders of the health of NS&I’s systems and to help shape future changes and improvements.
In addition, you will perform an assurance role of BAU IT changes provided by the current supplier as we transition to our new future state, ensuring they are fit for purpose and deliver the business requirements as stated.

We'll assess you against these technical skills during the selection process:
- Extensive knowledge and experience in IT service management.
- Experience of working in or with outsourcing organisations from a client or service provider.
- Extensive Knowledge and experience of IT Service Management best practices including SLA development and Service Reporting within an outsourced environment.
- ITIL Practitioner.
- Experience in proactive management of delivery/technical teams.
- Experience in the use of Data Analysis and/or Data Management tools
- Knowledge and experience of Banking/financial services.
- Experience of working in Waterfall, Agile and other Digital delivery methodologies, including the use of APIs, cloud and other integration technologies.

Selection process details
We will sift applications based on the selected technical criteria stated above.
If shortlisted you will be invited to attend a 1 hour panel interview via video call. The interview questions will focus on the selected Civil Service Behaviours.
Interviews will take place from the 27th July to the 1st August 2022

A reserve list may be held for a period of 12 months from which further appointments can be made.
