Operation STOVEWOOD is the largest ever investigation into non-recent child sexual exploitation (CSE) undertaken by law enforcement. The complexity of the investigation is also unparalleled. Victims and survivors have been exploited or abused by many individuals, in locations across the UK over a number of years. The majority of suspects have offended against more than one victim and many have been involved in organised trafficking. This investigation provides a unique opportunity for you to bring your skills and experience in support of such a high profile, serious and complex investigation. The Operation is set up in line with the Major Incident Room Standard Administrative Procedures (MIRSAP) and uses the HOLMES data system as well as NCA intelligence databases.
Provide tactical and strategic support to the investigation by conducting research, gathering and analysing intelligence and evidence. Ensure the appropriate quality, secure handling and dissemination of intelligence. Conduct initial assessments to evaluate the abilities and needs. Build good working relationships with both internal and external partners.
Salary: The salary for this position is £24,964. Where existing Civil Servants apply on transfer to the NCA at the equivalent grade, pay principles on Civil Service transfers will apply. All other salary offers will be made within the advertised band.
This role is open to External candidates & Civil Servants on lateral & promotion basis.
