Do you have a Finance background and excellent working knowledge of Excel?

Our Assistant Management accountant provides support to our Finance Business Partnering team and manages the maintenance of actual transactions in the financial ledger for budget control purposes. They investigate, reconcile and correct income and expenditure transactions and update accrual repayments each month.

Reporting to a Management Accountant/Finance Business Partner your main responsibilities in the role will be to:
• Process journals of accruals and release of prepayments for directorates
• Maintain a log of accrual and prepayment activity
• Maintenance of Income & Expenditure accounts
• Support Management Accountant with all month end activity
• Conduct analysis of financial transactions with guidance from the Management Accountant
• Assist with the recording of forecast and budget data
• Work with subject matter experts to ensure processes are adhered to

About You

You will be able to ensure effective communication with Finance Teams based throughout the UK and budget holders within departments. You will have experience of using a Financial System and knowledge of the interaction between finance ledgers. You’ll have a good working knowledge of excel and you will be methodical and conscientious.
