Job description
The team objective is to ensure that NS&I is compliant with laws and regulations and that reputational risk is managed where business decisions are taken.
Responsibilities
Represent the Compliance function in the NS&I Change process.
Subject matter expert for NS&I GPS client accounts.
Review Financial Promotions (FP) and NS&I GPS marketing material and ensure the appropriate legislative and regulatory rules are met.
Review and approve other customer and corporate communications (non FP) material through the Financial Promotions process within agreed service level agreements.
Responsible for the process to ensure that responses to FOI requests are issued within regulatory deadlines.
Regular contact with both the NS&I Complaints Management team and Atos Compliance colleagues providing advice and guidance on complex customer complaints and policy and legal issues, some of which will involve liaison with TLA in order to seek appropriate legal advice.
Work with the NS&I Financial Crime and the NS&I Data Protection teams to ensure that guidance to the business is timely and appropriate in respect of terms and conditions and product brochures and other customer communications (paper and digital).
Technical Skills

Working knowledge of the FCAs rules relevant to retail financial services/cash deposits, in particular BCOBS, and the ASA codes of conduct for advertising
Experience of writing policies and procedures to ensure they are reflected correctly in customer comms and vice versa
Working knowledge of operational processes in the financial services industry
In-depth knowledge and understanding of all rules, regulations, codes of practice, guidance and industry best practice relating to advertising and customer communications applicable in the financial services industry.

Selection process details
If shortlisted you will be invited to attend a 1 hour panel interview via video call. During the interview you will be asked questions to assess the following experience and technical knowledge:
Good communication (both written and verbal) skills. Experience of writing policies and procedures
The ability to work well under pressure and be able to multi-task
Excellent organisational skills and proven experience of meeting deadlines
In-depth knowledge and understanding of all rules, regulations, codes of practice, guidance and industry best practice relating to advertising and customer communications applicable in the financial services industry
Interviews will take place on 28-29 July 2022.

Working for NS&I
