Job description

The NCA is an organisation which leads the UK’s fight to cut serious and organised crime. This includes class A drugs, child exploitation, people smuggling and human trafficking, major gun crime, fraud, cyber crime, money laundering and the corruption that organised criminals use to facilitate these crimes.
We work to imprison serious criminals, and use many other tactics to disrupt crime and keep people safe. In particular, we want to ensure crime doesn’t pay and that it’s harder to commit. We also draw on innovative new approaches to prevent crimes from happening in the first place.

This role is to lead capability development, programme and change management within the NCA's National Cyber Crime Unit (NCCU) at senior management level.

The postholder will be accountable for the development and delivery of a significant transformational change programme within the NCCU, leading across the entire programme lifecycle from business case to project delivery stages.

The postholder will act as senior lead for project and programme management within NCCU, working closely with the NCA’s Programme Management Department and Operational Transformation programme to establish best practice in all NCCU projects from both Agile and Prince 2 Methodologies, and ensure the NCCU's change programme supports wider organisational objectives, programmes and NCA values.

The successful candidate will manage teams responsible for People and Project transformation (including the department's Programme Management Office), be accountable to the Deputy Director for departmental budgets and financial forecasting and oversee and quality assure reporting to the Home Office and Cabinet Office on programme risks, progress and finances.
