Job description

The National Cyber Crime Unit (NCCU) leads the UK's fight against cyber crime and uses its specialist capabilities and expertise to support law enforcement partners across the UK and coordinates the UK's entire response to cyber crime.

There are 2 roles:

STRATEGIC TARGETING UNIT (STU)
The successful applicant will be one of two Team Leaders on the red-ride Full Spectrum Response team (FSR), which leads / coordinates the NCA's response to high priority cyber threats, utilising the capabilities of ALL to provide a range of tactical options to disrupt and dismantle. The FSR is a team within the NCCU's Strategic Targeting Unit.
The key broad responsibilities of the role include:

- Responsible for the management, receipt, enrichment and development of all sensitive Intelligence held by the NCA, ensuring that tactical Intelligence is managed and disseminated timely to those who need it;
- Manage relationships with external partners and other NCCU Teams, providing expert Law Enforcement experience and guidance to facilitate actionable leads and opportunities to tasked operations and/or projects;
- Ensuring sensitive intelligence is evidentially paralleled where necessary through constant liaison with the NCCU Operations and Intelligence teams;
- Lead and manage multi-agency Projects and/or operations, providing support and guidance to your Team.


AREA CONFIDENTIAL TARGETING UNIT (ACTU)
The successful applicant will be one of two NCCU ACTU Team Leaders, working closely with the NCCU Strategic Targeting Unit and NCCU SIO's to fuse and operationalise Intelligence from an array of sensitive sources.
The key responsibilities of the role include:

- Manage relationships with NCCU red-side and white-side teams, providing expert Law Enforcement experience and guidance to facilitate actionable leads and evidential opportunities to tasked operations;
- Drive NCCU Operations forward through proactive intelligence gathering and tasking through the STU - Full Spectrum Response team;
- Ensuring sensitive intelligence is evidentially paralleled where possible through constant liaison with the NCCU Operations and Intelligence teams.
