About the job

Job description

Looking for a new opportunity in procurement? Then why not join the busy, innovative and dynamic Procurement and Commercial Group at HM Land Registry (HMLR)?

The organisation – HMLR is a highly efficient, productive and respected organisation. For more than 150 years HMLR has protected and guaranteed people’s land and property rights by keeping and maintaining the Land Register for England and Wales. Today that register covers more than 84% of the land mass of England and Wales. It contains more than 25 million titles (the evidence of ownership), estimated to hold £4 trillion of property value, and is one of the largest property databases in Europe.

The place – Located in the vibrant waterfront city of Plymouth, our environmentally friendly offices provide a great setting in which to work. Hundreds of miles of stunning coastline and 368 square miles of Dartmoor National Park are within easy reach.

Procurement & Commercial Group – We are responsible for supporting budget holders in awarding, managing and ending their contracts and in supplier relationship management. We also provide commercial expertise and leadership at the appropriate stages of the procurement cycle.

The job – As a Senior Procurement Manager you will work in a fast-paced ICT Digital Procurement Team changing the digital and working environment of HMLR, leading on major procurement exercises and delivering commercial solutions. You will provide specialist commercial advice on procurement exercises and ensure they culminate in a successful contract award.

This is a dynamic, hands-on role in an ever-evolving and expanding ICT digital environment at the forefront of the Procurement Team leading this.

HMLR offers competitive terms, conditions and benefits. You will have flexible start and finish times and access to Civil Service pension arrangements. The maternity, paternity and childcare benefits are extremely competitive. HMLR actively encourages career progression and as part of the wider Civil Service there will be many opportunities for self-development through Civil Service Learning.

The person – Ideally you will have the MCIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) full professional qualification in Procurement and Supply. However if you don’t we will support you in gaining this.
