Job summary

An opportunity has arisen to join The Data and Analysis Hub (D&A). The D&A Hub is made up of a number of teams covering a variety of roles. This includes multiple analytical teams ranging from large scale big data analysis to ‘big picture’ assessed intelligence reporting and end-to-end tactical analysis supporting live operations. These are supported by a number of other teams that acquire and manage key datasets, build new cutting edge capabilities and provide a business support wrap around.

Job description

The Front Door/Systems Management Team sits within The Central Capabilities Team (CTT) of The Data and Analysis Hub. As a Front Door Tasking/Systems Management Senior Officer, you are responsible for providing access to systems, auditing systems and/or processing tasking requests received through the Front Door, ensuring that tasks are triaged and prioritised through tasking meetings and effectively communicate any tasking decisions.

Person specification

You will be responsible for the below: 

  • System Management – Oversee the day to day management of the systems administered ensuring the joiners/movers/leavers process is adhered to.
  • Audit Management – Manage audits for the systems administered and investigate discrepancies.
  • Data Entry and administration management -  Monitor and manage the intelligence and retention of data within associated systems. 
  • Initial Triage Process: Manage the initial triaging process for all tasks received through the Front Door, including: reviewing requests for completeness and relevance; liaising with customers if further information is required; requesting, accepting and adding requests to the tasking backlog for further scoping and prioritisation.
  • Tasking Management: Facilitate Tasking Meetings, working closely with Senior Leaders to understand the tasks received across the team, review and arbitrate any competing priority/resource requirements, updating the tasking list accordingly. 
  • Prioritisation Matrix and Front Door RACI Management: Manage and maintain the Prioritisation Matrix, reviewing regularly and updating to reflect operational priorities, threats and role responsibilities.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Manage and support the communication with customers, answer customer queries and liaise with internal teams as required.
  • Line Management: Coordinate and manage the workload staff. Coach and support staff to help them receive appropriate training and achieve their career/development objectives.
  • D&A Cross-Team Support and Engagement: Support the wider D&A team on ad-hoc activities as resource and capacity dictates. Regularly engage and collaborate with colleagues across D&A Hub.

Interview Details

Interviews will take place throughout June and July 2024 - locations to be confirmed. Additional Information 

  • The NCA is a 24/7 organisation, and working patterns must support business requirements. Some roles may require you to respond at short notice or outside of core hours.
