Job summary

Thank you for taking the time to consider this role and joining us here at the Ministry of Justice (MOJ).

Never has there been a more challenging time to join our fantastic team, which, as one of the most heavily outsourced departments across Whitehall, will offer the chosen candidate amazing opportunities to work across the ministry, the function and industry, delivering some ground breaking and exciting projects and programmes.

As a member of the Government Commercial Function and the MoJ leadership team, this role will require someone with the ability to engage, motivate, inspire and lead a team (directly and indirectly), working with colleagues across the wider function (such as the Crown Commercial Service, Complex Transactions and Suppliers and Market team) and the other professions (Finance, Digital, Data & Analytical Services, Communications, Legal, Security and Internal Audit).

Whilst functionally we aspire to be the best Commercial Function in the UK; here at the MoJ, we aspire to be recognised as the best commercial function in Government and we can only achieve this by having the best people, being integrated with our stakeholders, providing first class commercial advice across the contract lifecycle and driving market engagement to leverage insight and best practice and by playing our role in the development of the profession.

Again, thank you for considering not just a role with us but a longer-term career within the Government Commercial Function.
