In order to be eligible, you MUST meet ALL the following criteria.

Criminal and Financial Investigation (CFI) teams are committed to disrupting and dismantling the organised crime groups facilitating immigration abuse, utilising its financial investigations capability to remove the proceeds of crime and strip criminals of their assets.

Financial Investigators (FIs) are accredited by the Proceeds of Crime Centre and have a national remit to conduct confiscation and money laundering investigations, identify and restrain (via the Crown Prosecution Service - CPS) realisable criminal assets, apply for financial orders at court, search premises, interview suspects, submit case papers in criminal and civil proceedings as well as completing detailed written reports and statements for prosecuting lawyers. FI's work closely with Crime Investigators within Immigration Enforcement as well as other agencies.

Person specification

Candidates should be comfortable at varying styles of communication to ensure that messaging is accessible and understandable to all, both verbally and in writing. You should be enthusiastic about providing effective support functions and prioritising attention to detail to ensure accuracy.

Duties will include (but are not limited to): 

  • Onboarding new staff, arranging access to systems as necessary.
  • Supporting the HEO by collating data to produce performance/statistical reporting.
  • Maintaining databases/spreadsheets (Excel).
  • Maintaining/drafting PCDT guidance and advice instructions.
  • Procurement activity and processing invoices.
  • iManager for SharePoint and related activity.
  • Monitoring/actioning PCDT/Joint Asset Recovery Database (JARD) inboxes (daily between 9am and 3pm).  
  • Providing general administrative support.

Essential Criteria

The successful candidate will have the following proven skills:

  • Effective IT skills, in particular a broad knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to organise time effectively and deliver quality outcomes within challenging timescales.
  • Ability to work with substantial quantities of data, including undertaking some low-level analysis, maintaining attention to detail to produce reliable/trusted outcomes.
  • Experience of working well as a team player, supporting colleagues and team members to deliver key outcomes.

Desirable Criteria

  • Knowledge of JARD (Joint Asset Recovery Database) and understanding of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.
  • Knowledge of Metis finance functions.

The sift will be held on the Lead behaviour - Delivering at Pace and the statement of suitability (personal statement). 

However, if a large number of applications are received, the sift will be conducted on the statement of suitability (personal statement).

The statement of suitability will be scored first for all candidates. Those who achieve the minimum pass score for the statement of suitability, will progress to a full sift where the lead behaviour will be scored. These candidates will therefore receive a sift score for both elements.

Candidates who fail to meet the minimum pass score for the statement of suitability will not have their behaviour scored and will therefore only receive a sift score for the statement of suitability.

Annual Hours Working Allowance

Flexible working
